Description
Monarch Education are looking for a Careers Advisor to join a Secondary School based in Birmingham.
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and knowledgeable Careers Support Worker to assist students in exploring their career options and developing their future pathways. Ideally, candidates will hold a Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification. The role is required to start as soon as possible.
About the Role:
This full-time (or part-time considered) position involves working closely with students to provide careers advice, guidance, and support to help them make informed decisions about their future education and career choices. You will be an integral part of the school's careers team, helping to inspire and empower students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing careers guidance and support to students
- Assisting with career-related activities and events
- Supporting students with CV writing, interview prep, and application processes
- Collaborating with staff to promote career development opportunities
- Maintaining records of student progress and guidance sessions
- Keeping up-to-date with career guidance resources and best practices
What We're Looking For:
- Experience of careers guidance and student support
- Ideally, hold a Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and engage young people
- Proactive and flexible approach
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable
