This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, diverse, co-educational independent day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are looking for a dynamic and highly capable Head of Careers and Employability, to coordinate and deliver the careers and employability provision, whilst contributing to the wider life of this busy holistic school community. This post is offered from the Autumn Term 2026.
The Head of Careers and Employability will be knowledgeable of current good practice, innovative, highly organised and have excellent people management and communication skills, ensuring our students receive outstanding career support.
The hours for this role will be 30 hours per week, worked over 4 or 5 days per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. These hours are to be worked during term time with two additional weeks during the school holiday period.
You will receive a competitive salary depending on skills, experience and qualifications, a holiday allowance based on 25 days per year plus 8 bank holidays pro-rata. Staff benefits include free lunches during term time, free on-site parking and use of the school’s sports facilities.
Collegiate School occupies a glorious thirty-acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site. We are easily accessible from the motorway network, with approximately 800 students aged from 3 to 18.

In our recent ISI report the school was judged excellent in all areas; raw examination results are consistently good, value-add scores are high and we have waiting lists in most year groups.
